Bethell will depart for national responsibilities; RCB has signed tim Seifert as his substitute

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have brought in Tim Seifert from New Zealand to take Jacob Bethell’s place. Bethell is set to join the England white-ball squad for their series against the West Indies after RCB’s second-to-last league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 24, which means the replacement will take effect on the same day.

Tim Seifert IPL Career

Seifert, 30, was last seen playing in the IPL for the Delhi Capitals during the 2022 season after starting his league career with the Kolkata Knight Riders the year before. As a wicketkeeper-batter, Seifert has accumulated 5862 runs in 262 T20 matches at a strike rate of 133.07. He will be available to participate in RCB’s final league match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27, as well as in the playoffs.

Seifert has joined RCB for a fee of INR 2 crore.
