In this match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made IPL history by becoming the fastest Indian to score a century, achieving it in just 35 balls and breaking the previous record of 37 balls set by Yusuf Pathan in 2010 while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians. Additionally, he became the youngest player to score a century in IPL history at just 14 years and 32 days, surpassing Manish Pandey’s record of 19 years and 253 days for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Deccan Chargers in 2009.

Suryavanshi also established a significant world record by being the youngest player ever to achieve a T20 century at 14 years and 32 days, breaking the record previously held by Vijay Zol, who completed a century at 18 years and 118 days during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match in 2013.
This remarkable feat also ranks as the second-fastest century in IPL history, trailing only behind Chris Gayle’s spectacular 30-ball century for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors in 2013.
In the fourth over of Rajasthan Royals’ innings, the left-handed batsman from Bihar went after Ishant Sharma, hitting him for 28 runs, which included three sixes and two fours, and later scored 30 runs off debutant Karim Janat in the tenth over.
Earlier, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by being the youngest batter to score a fifty in T20 cricket, breaking the record held by Hassan Eisakhil, whose fifty at 15 years and 360 days was achieved while playing for Boost Defenders during the Shpageeza League in 2022.
He was ultimately dismissed for 101 runs off 38 balls by bowler Prasidh Krishna.
