Victories for Gujarat Titans(GT) and Punjab Kings have secured their advancement, along with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. A washed-out match in Bengaluru on Saturday has led to the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, being eliminated from contention, leaving Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants in competition for the last available spot.

Remaining matches: vs LSG (H) and vs CSK (H)
Currently leading the standings, the Titans are in the best position to secure a top-two spot. If they win both of their remaining matches, they guarantee such a placement. Should they win one and lose another, they will rely on either Punjab Kings or Royal Challengers Bengaluru losing at least one game.
They benefit from a favorable schedule, playing both encounters at home where they have a 4-1 win-loss record this season, facing two teams from the lower half of the points table.
Remaining matches: vs DC (H) & vs MI (H)
Punjab Kings have finally ended their playoff drought by reaching the latter stages of the tournament for the first time since 2014. They have a real chance at achieving a top-two finish if they win both of their matches. In that scenario, they would need either Gujarat Titans or Royal Challengers Bengaluru to lose one game, or for the latter to have a lower NRR while finishing at 21 points each. Presently, Royal Challengers (+0.482) hold a slight advantage in NRR over Punjab (+0.389).

The results from Sunday also confirmed that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have qualified for the playoffs. Their situation mirrors that of the Punjab Kings, although they have relatively easier opponents compared to Punjab facing Lucknow and Hyderabad. If they win one and lose one game, both Titans and Punjab could surpass their points.
Remaining matches: vs DC (H) & PBKS (A)
Among the three teams vying for the last playoff position, Mumbai Indians are in the strongest position. Winning both matches would guarantee them a top-four finish. If they secure victory in their upcoming game against Delhi at home while Lucknow loses one of their remaining three games, Mumbai will secure qualification.
If they lose to Delhi but defeat Punjab, Delhi could overtake them in points if they win their last league game against Punjab. If they lose both of their remaining matches, they will be eliminated.
Mumbai Indians also have a remote chance of achieving a top-two finish if they reach 18 points due to their superior NRR, but they would need both Punjab and Bengaluru to lose all their matches and remain at 17 points. However, if either Punjab or Bengaluru wins just one game, they will need the Titans to lose both remaining matches. They had a rough start this season with four losses in their first five games, leaving them with a significant challenge ahead.
